EPCL Regains State Accreditation and Participates in TexShare

East Parker County Library has great news! We are proud to announce we have regained accreditation in the Texas Library System for State Fiscal Year 2024: September 1, 2023, through August 31, 2024. The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) has been authorized to accredit libraries since 1971, and the East Parker County Library (EPCL) has been accredited for over 17 years.

As an accredited library, we now have access to any Texas Library System program made possible through federal funding, including grant opportunities, staff training, and the TexShare Card and TexShare Database programs.

The TexShare Card program allows library patrons to borrow materials throughout Texas via participating TexShare libraries. Please visit us in person to get your TexShare Card.

The TexShare Database program offers library patrons free 24/7 access to high-quality electronic resources including full-text academic journals and popular magazines; fiction and non-fiction e-books; genealogy databases; DIY, health, and business information; interactive learning resources for all ages; tools for job seekers; and more. If you already have an East Parker County Library card, you can stop by the library or contact us today for the password to access the TexShare databases. If you have not yet registered with EPCL, don't worry, we can help you get a library card and start enjoying our free resources today.
