Thank you for your patience! EPCL is now able to accept the following donations:

1. Adult fiction, Adult Non-Fiction, and Young Adult books published within the past 5 years (2016-current) in like-new or very good condition. Hardback preferred.

2. Juvenile and children's books (fiction and non-fiction) in like-new or very good condition. Hardback preferred.

3. Classics (think middle and high school required reading) in like-new or very good condition.

4. Like-new or very good audio books and DVDs

You are welcome to bring your donations to the library during our business hours. Staff will look through your items and give you a receipt if you would like one for tax purposes. Please do not leave items outside or place in the drop boxes. Weather will damage items and drop boxes need to be available for returning library items.

Why these categories only?

We use donations to augment our catalog of items available for our patrons to check-out, to fill our bargain book area for patrons to purchase quality items at low cost, and for summer reading prizes. We have very little space to store items we cannot use. It took a longer amount of time to remove all the unused items from our facility over the summer and fall and we do not want to stop taking donations again.

Library hours are Tuesdays through Fridays from  10 AM - 6PM and Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM. Available services include check-outs, 2 computer stations (1 hour time limit), printing/copying, and bargain book sales.

We remain under state guidelines at reduced occupancy with social distancing. Per Gov. Abbott's Executive Order 29 on 2 July 2020, face coverings are required while in the library with the exceptions of children under 10 and those patrons with medical conditions or disabilities that prevent the wearing of a face covering.

As a reminder, 10 books can be checked out at a time on a card and up to 4 DVDs per family. Returned items stay in quarantine for 72 hours and remain on your card during that time. If you return your items very near or on the due date, the automated system may send you a notice. However, the librarians account for the 3 days when checking in your items. We appreciate your understanding as we do our part to keep everyone safe. Our courier system has restarted, so you are now able to place holds to be delivered to EPCL.

The Library can accept donations via PayPal!  We appreciate your support of the library.

We are also now accepting credit cards for purchases and fines.  Patrons are responsible for a 2.7% convenience fee if choosing to use this form of payment.

The East Parker County Library  participates in Amazon Smile.  The library will receive 0.5% of eligible Amazon purchases if selected as your preferred non-profit charity!
